Chapter 1: It started from the bottom, now it's here
With the advent of the computer, the world has seen a surge of increased leisureliness because with the computer we are allowed to do multiple tasks with the click of a button. The first use of the word "computer" was recorded in 1613 in a book
called "\The yong mans gleanings by English writer Richard Braithwait, and was used to describe to a person who carried out calculations, or computations. This stigma later evolved to describe a certain machine that carried our calculations for you. Since the late 1830's, the first concept of a computer was invented by English mathematician, philosopher, inventor and mechanical engineer Charles Babbage. Early uses of "computers" were for simple calculations and computations; however, over time computers use have developed into more intricate applications. From e-mails, to keeping a daily agenda, programming music, taking pictures, video-chatting, researching, reading, and an abundance of more tasks, the computer has completely changed the way of life that we experienced 300 years ago. And with an increase in the influx of new technology this trend is only going to continue to grow until 25 years from now the computers we're using now are going to seem like archaic tools.
